Hands-on Review and Walkaround: HTC EVO 4G

Today we got another hands-on review of the HTC EVO 4G, one of the most anticipated device this year and probably one of the best smartphone out there.

HTC EVO 4G operates with Android 2.1 OS enhanced with HTC Sense UI. Sports a large 4.3 inches cinematic touchscreen-display at 800 x 480 pixel resolution, which makes the HTC EVO 4G a perfect portable mediaplayer.

The Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon CPU is snapped under the hood, makes this phone runs really fast. As matter of fact, the HTC EVO 4G can process really fast on most task.

Let’s have a look at the specs below:

Display: 4.3″ capacitive touchscreen display with multi-touch support. 480 x 800 pixel resolution, automatic viewing mode change (portrait – landscape), ambient-light sensor, proximity sensor, and more.

Battery: Replaceable Lithium Ion 1500 mAh, rechargeable.

CPU and Storage: Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8650 CPU, 400 MB internal storage and SDHC microSD card-slot (8 GB microSD card included).

Dimension and Weight: 4.74 x 2.64 x 0.50 inches, 6.0 ounces.

Camera: 8 Megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual LED flash (back side), 1.3 Megapixel camera for video call (front facing).

Navigation: GPS compatible with Google Maps (and Sprint Navigation). And Digital compass.

Audio: Built-in speaker, microphone, stereo 3.5mm standard headphone jack.

Connectivity: Bluetooth, Integrated WiFi, HDMI port.

OS and Software: Android 2.1 Eclair operating system with HTC Sense user interface. All Google apps (standard) including Google Maps, Gmail, email with Exchange support, Gallery, Amazon MP3, Market, YouTube, web browser, etc. HTC software including HTC Weather, HTC People and HTC Friendstream, Stocks, video player, Peep, etc. Sprint software and services: Sprint Navigation, Sprint Football, Sprint Zone, Sprint TV, NASCAR mobile, etc.
