The FBI started up an investigation for over 114,000 iPad 3G customer e-mails security breach. The day before today, Goatse Security group provided the media blog Gawker publish a list of 114,067 iPad 3G customer e-mails address. All the e-mails on Goatse Security list was obtained through a security loophole from the unique identifier of the SIM card in an iPad 3G, that allowed to make a recovery countless e-mails associated with ICC-IDs.
The FBI source give an explanation to The Wall Street Journal, Main Justice and other media organizations that it’s “aware of these possible computer intrusions” and the security breach investigation reach the early stages.
When the investigations about security breaches are occurred, but most of iPad 3G users believe that it is no real harm can produce from the case. Because, no other information were exposed beyond the ICC-IDs and e-mail addresses, and there is no possibility that someone could use an ICC-ID alone to attack iPad 3G user.
