Kindle E-book Reader Only For $139, Amazon Updates

Recently Amazon has announced two new version of its Kindle e-book reader. One of the new device just like another previous model of kindle, but the other one definitely is a new model. Beginning August 27th, Amazon will offer a wi-Fi version of the Kindle pricing for just $139, it took at a similar price point to Barnes & Noble’s Wi-Fi only Nook and Sony’s pocket e-book reader. And the new model will be ready for $189.

Both of the model use the similar E Ink screens as the previous model (and the DX version), even though Amazon has admit that the refresh rate has been enhanced by 20%, while contrast is improved by 50% to match DX. The both model also come with 21% smaller and 15% lighter, and offer an expanded 4GB of internal storage. The battery life also has been improved, the fact that Amazon claims that Kindles can last for up to month with the wireless networking turned off and up to 10 days with the radio on. (more…)

Apple Launches Magic Trackpad, Updated iMacs and Mac Pros

After suffering a downtime issue a couple hours ago, the Apple store is now running well, and – as predicted – it now offers updated iMacs and Mac Pro computers. Aside from that the Apple store has also released an all-new product dubbed the Magic Trackpad.

The new Magic Trackpad is designed to be tandem for your Macintosh desktop computer, and it employs the equal multitouch technology like the MacBook Pro.

It connects with your Mac desktop computers through Bluetooth, and it’s purposed to be the replacement of a mouse, or together with one. It comes as a standalone accessory and sold separately for $69.

Sony Style L80 Mini Laptop available for $299

We already seen a plenty of cheap Sony Vaio P clones in about the last two years or more. But one thing most have in common is that they’re typically to only be available in Asia.

We know, unless a company brave to experience the trouble of shipping them out from Asia — which is really what Shenit.com is doing with the new “Sony Style L80 Mini Laptop.”

Similar to the Sony Vaio P, this newcomer has a compact design thanks at least in piece to the fact that there is no touchpad next to the keyboard. (more…)

An Impressive Motorola Droid X

Motorola Droid X has become an impressive new contender in the emerging kind of large form-factor smartphone with touchscreen feature. Droid X comes with high end hardware specifications and massive 4-inch touchscreen set it apart from the other Motorola’s product lineup. Even though the Android-based device has much similar with HTC EVO 4G, it seems the Droid X succeeds and HTC EVO fell short-by matching a great feature set with all-day battery life.

Intel Drops prices on some desktop CPUs

While Intel has just started shipping some new products like Core i7-970 six-core processor ($885), the Core i5 760 ($205) and the low-voltage Core i7 870S ($351).

Intel has also slashed the price on some other desktop CPUs, including a big cut in the price of the Core i7-870. The year-old quad-core was priced at $562, but its price was dropped 48% to $294. If you have just bought one with the old price, you’re likely out of luck.

Other price drops include the Core i3 540, which get 12-percent reduction to $117, and the venerable E6600 and E5500 Pentiums, which slashed 11% and 15 % respectively, to $75 and $64.

Instead of getting a reduction, a number of Pentiums have just discontinued, The E6300 , E7400 and Celeron E3200 has been killed off by the company, although the Celeron brand manages to keep alive. (more…)
